I’d first like to start off with HI, thanks for showing up. This is not my first attempt at a blog. I had one a few years back (or last year I really can’t remember) but I took it way too seriously and could never write anything I would ever want to read. And now as I sit at my computer pretending to study for my exams I’m giving it another go.

So here’s a little introduction about me. My name is Katherine and I’m 23. I live in (way too hot and sticky) New South Wales, Australia and I’m studying for my bachelor of business at university (1 semester and 4 exams to go until I’m FREE!). I’m obsessed with my dogs (pictures bellow) and winged liner and I’d happily spend more time making something even if I could get it easier and cheaper at the shop, which leads me to the introduction of this blog.

This is a personal lifestyle blog where I’m going to write about makeup, DIY and whatever else I feel like. I’m not a professional at anything but I’ll write about it anyway (it’s what the internet’s for isn’t it?). Why Coffee and Pretty Things you might be wondering, it’s one strange name for a blog. It’s simple, I love coffee (much to my doctor and bank accounts disapproval) and I’ll be writing about what I consider pretty things, and sometimes not so pretty things but I got sick of trying to think of a name and this was available.  So I hope that you will read along, comment and come back for more soon.
